Can new windows really lower energy bills?
They are not a miracle boiler replacement, but poor glazing is a common reason rooms never feel warm.
Homes with failed sealed units, thin single glazing or warped frames often see a noticeable comfort improvement after replacement — fewer draughts and less heat washing against cold glass.
The biggest gains appear when the worst elevations are tackled first, especially north-facing living rooms and bedrooms on windy corners.
We specify glass and frames for real UK weather rather than brochure fantasies, and we are honest when a boiler or loft insulation upgrade should sit alongside the glazing work.
